# Cockpit Configuration

> Hide the Cockpit tabs and individual metrics your organization doesn't want to expose, from a single org-level setting.

Not every team wants every metric visible. Cockpit lets an Owner turn off whole tabs or
individual charts for the **entire organization** — useful when a metric is noisy for your
workflow, or when you don't want per-developer numbers on display at all.

Go to **Organization → Cockpit Configuration** (`/organization/cockpit`).

  This is an **organization-wide** setting, not a per-user preference. Turning a metric off
  hides it for everyone.

## Tabs

The Cockpit is split into two tabs, and each can be hidden:

| Tab | What it holds |
| - | - |
| **Fossa Review** | How effective Fossa's reviews are — implementation rate, severity calibration, negative feedback, Fossy Rules health. |
| **Productivity** | Delivery metrics — deploy frequency, cycle time, PR size, team activity. |

  **At least one tab must stay enabled.** The form rejects turning both off.

Hiding the Productivity tab also hides everything inside it, so the individual toggles below
only matter while that tab is on.

## Summary metrics

The cards at the top of the Productivity tab:

| Metric | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Deploy Frequency** | How often your team deploys to production |
| **PR Cycle Time** | Average time from PR creation to merge |
| **Bug Ratio** | Percentage of PRs that are bug fixes |
| **PR Size** | Average size of pull requests |

## Detailed charts

The charts below the summary cards:

| Chart | What it shows |

| **Lead Time Breakdown** | Lead time split into its stages |
| **PR Cycle Time Chart** | Cycle time plotted over the period |
| **PRs Opened vs Closed** | Weekly opened vs closed counts — see [PRs Opened vs Closed](/en/how_to_use/cockpit/metrics/prs_opened_vs_closed) |
| **PRs Merged by Developer** | PRs merged per team member |
| **Team Activity** | Overall team activity and contributions |

## Notes

* New metrics ship **visible by default**. If Fossa adds a chart, it appears for everyone until
  someone turns it off — your saved configuration is merged over the current defaults rather
  than replacing them, so an older saved config never hides something new.
* Hiding a metric only affects display. Fossa keeps ingesting the underlying data, so turning it
  back on shows the full history, not just data from that point forward.
